Grendon CE Primary School runs its own Nursery, incorporated into our main Early Years class.

The Nursery is now a well established part of the school and provides an excellent transition into school life. The provision is led by an outstanding EYFS practitioner who works alongside two experienced Teaching Assistants, one of which is a Nursery Specialist. All children within the Early Years class will follow similar programmes of study, adjusted to their specific needs.

For children to be eligible for our Nursery cohort, they must turn 3 before 31st August in order to start in the September cohort. This means that children would spend a maximum of 1 academic year in Nursery before moving onto the Reception cohort.

Although the Nursery is a part of our school, a place in this cohort does not guarantee entry into our Reception cohort. For primary school (Reception) applications, the locally set admissions criteria apply and these can be found elsewhere in the School Information section on this website.

Nursery is open during term-time only and sessions run from 9am-12pm and 12-3pm. There is also an option to extend the afternoon session until 3.30pm (the school day finishes at 3.30pm and so this option is popular with families who also have children in other parts of the school).

For more information about availability, prices and organisation of our Nursery please contact the school office.
