School Closure: Update

Hello Visitor,

Further information from the DfE has been circulated this evening in relation to school closures.

The Cabinet Office will tomorrow publish its definition of a 'key worker' after which time the school will contact parents to request that they inform the school if they fit this category and also intend to continue bringing their child(ren) into school. This information will greatly support the school's contingency planning for the weeks ahead. In light of increasing pressures on schools due to staff absences, I have been in contact with local Head Teachers this evening to discuss plans for 'pooling' staff resources and educating children of key workers in one school should the need arise. 

The school will do all it can to support our pupils and their families as best we can. Thanks again for your continued support. 

In other news, all primary school statutory assessments (including Year 6 SATs) have been cancelled.
