School Closure

Following the Prime Minister's press conference this evening, I am writing to confirm that Grendon CE Primary School will close on Friday evening until further notice.

The school has been working incredibly hard to ensure that children's education in school remains of the highest quality whilst also making contingency plans for remote learning during this unprecedented adn fast moving situation. 'Learning Packs' will be made available on our website imminently for all phases of the school and these will be supplemented over the coming days and weeks. Full details will be shared with you shortly.

The Prime Minister stated that exams planned for May and June will be cancelled and it remains to be seen whether this applies to the statutory examinations that take place in primary schools during this period. I will, of course, update you on this as soon as I know.

Once again, thank you all for your support, particuarly over the last few days and weeks. The school community has responded incredibly positively to the uncertainty and disruption and the school has remained a very calm, happy and productive place.
