Coronavirus Update: Monday 16th March 2020

  Hello Visitor,

You will no doubt be aware of this evening's statement on Coronavirus from Boris Johnson.

Although, at the time of writing, the Coronavirus guidance has not been updated on the NHS website, it was made quite clear in tonight's press conference that if one person in any household has a new, persistent cough or fever, everyone living there must stay at home for 14 days from the first symptoms. Please help limit the spread of Coronavirus by following this guidance.

If you are unsure whether your child's symptoms meet the above criteria please contact 111 for advice.

In addition to the above, if your child develops either of the above symptoms in school, you will be contacted and asked to collect them.

The school has kept itself very close to the government's response to Coronavirus and will continue to follow their advice. As soon as new guidance is available, school will inform parents via newsletter.

In the meantime, the school will continue to monitor the latest developments and encourage children to wash their hands properly and frequently. Meanwhile, Roxanne is doing a fantastic job in keeping the school clean and disinfected.

A useful article has been published on the BBC website, called 'Will UK schools close over Coronavirus?'
