  Hello Visitor,

School Closures

Many thanks for your patience and understanding with the school closures on Monday and Tuesday this week. Thank you for your supportive messages and to all the pupils who engaged so positively with Remote Learning.

I was so sorry to hear that so many of you were affected so badly by the flooding. Along with many local residents, I know that some of our families had homes badly damaged by flood water and others who are currently in temporary accommodation. Please let the school know if there is anything we can do to help.

The Drop-Off 'Drop-In'!

Drop offTomorrow, the Drop Off Team will be on-site to offer a 'stay and play' session for children and parents. There will be refreshments and a bouncy castle and Jo and Julie (who run The Drop Off) will be there to answer your questions and let you know more about their great breakfast and after-school provision at Grendon.

Please feel free to head straight to the hall at pick-up time tomorrow if you would like to find out more about what The Drop-Off has to offer.

This wraparound care provision is entirely reliant on sufficient pupil numbers and so please support The Drop-Off if you can.

Peer Mentors

Natasha Mycawka from the School Engagement Team at the University of Northampton spent last Friday training our Year 6 cohort as Peer Mentors. Our Peer Mentors play a vital role in the whole school Pupil Mentoring programme and in promoting the school values and so this annual training is a very important part of supporting pupil well-being and mental health.

Peer Mentors 24

Our Peer Mentors all successfully 'passed' their training today and can proudly show off their special badges so that other pupils know who our Peer Mentors are!

Bikeability

The deadline for signing up for Bikeability was before the summer break and the sessions are fully subscribed. This is confirmation that the sessions for the group will take place on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th October. As a reminder, participating children will need to bring a fully functional bike (with working brakes!) and a bike helmet.

Unfortunately, Bikeability can't accept any late applications as the sessions work of a specific ratio of instructors to participants and their insutructors have already been allocated.
