If you saw Friday's e-newsletter, you will know that Kidz Zone will not be able to provide childcare beyond the end of this half term. Mindful of how important this service is to some families, the school is busy seeking an alternate provision from January 2024. 

I requested information from Kidz Zone about the detailed uptake of their childcare provision and I have included below a summary of this information. The data shows the average daily uptake of Kidz Zone in the first half term of this academic year. It is broken down into the number of children attending each of the sessions on offer.

For example, as an average over last half term, 11 children use Kidz Zone on a Monday from 3.30-4.30pm. Of these, an average of 4 stay for the 4.30-5.30pm session with 2 staying for the 5.30-6.00pm session. 

This sort of information is likely to be very useful for prospective childcare providers and this newsletter is a further plea to anyone who might be able to help school meet the demand for childcare. Whilst there is no spare capacity within existing school staff to run this provision, the school would be very interested to here from exisiting childcare providers but also from individuals with experience of working with children.
