  Hello Visitor,

IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

Please take some time to read these important Covid-19 updates which have become necessary due to an increase in positive cases within our school. Some temporary organisational changes have been made to the day-to-day running of the school which you should make yourself aware of. This includes reinstating class bubbles from tomorrow morning.

Parent Information (effective from Wednesday 19th January 2022)

The school monitors cases of Covid in school on a daily basis and, following a number of new cases reported to school today, the infection rate in Cedar Class has reached the threshold that constitutes an outbreak. Amongst pupils, there are currently 11 cases of Covid, 5 of which are in Cedar Class. Some school staff are also affected.

As a result, I have been in contact with Public Health England and the local Health Protection Team to seek advice and take any additional measures that are deemed to be necessary. The speed at which the affected families have informed school of the positive results is greatly appreciated as it has enabled a considered and prompt reaction to this situation.

Please refer to the school's Remote Learning Policy for information about how the school will support your child's learning if they are absent due to Covid.

If you have any specific queries not covered in the above documents, or have a question or concern relating to your specific circumstances, then please do not hesitate to contact me at

It goes without saying that the school's number one priority is to keep our community as safe as it can possibly be. School staff, supported by the governing body, continue to respond to new developments quickly, working hard to develop new timetables, remote learning plans, resources and Covid risk assessments as well as communicating with parents, dealing with external agencies, monitoring infection rates, adapting the physical space and disinfecting the school.

As before, these temporary measures will be in place only for as long as they are absolutely necessary. Further updates will be provided in due course.
