  Hello Visitor,

Christmas Carol Service & Reception Nativity

At this time of year, rehearsals would normally be well underway for our Key Stage 1 and 2 (Years 1-6) Christmas performance. For several years, the school has worked closely with Wollaston School to put on our annual Christmas show in their main hall with nearly 100 children performing to a packed audience of over 250 people. The school has spent a great deal of time considering the various options available and, for a range of Covid-related reasons, it is just not feasible to put on a show this year. It is disappointing, of course, but the safety of our pupils, staff and parents is uppermost in our minds.

The good news is that the school is planning an open-air, whole school Carol Service and we would love to invite parents. You may remember that, last year, the school put on a Carol Service at Grendon Hall - classes sang in their 'bubbles' but it was not safe at that time to host a large gathering. I have shared the short video of last year's Carol Service here. More details will be shared in due course but it is anticipated that the Carol Service will take place on Wednesday 15th December from 3-4pm. This date and timings are provisional at this stage.

Reception's Nativity will go ahead as planned and will take place on Monday 13th December at 4pm. There is no need for parents of Reception children to book places for this - the whole thing takes place in the EYFS outdoor area - just save the date and we will give you more information closer to the time.

School Photos

School photos of individual pupils and school-age sibling groups are taking place this Friday (12th November) during the school day.

Children In Need Mufti

Children In Need takes place next week and the school will be having a Mufti Day on Friday 19th November - children should come to school in mufti in exchange for a voluntary donation which will be collected and sent off to support the work of Children In Need.
