School Opens To All Pupils From Monday 8th March 2021
Following the Prime Minister's announcement yesterday, I am delighted to confirm that Grendon CE Primary School will open to all pupils from Monday 8th March.
The school is currently looking at the new DfE guidance issued to schools and will share its updated risk assessment and Parent Information later on this week and in plenty of time for parents and staff to be fully aware of the new expectations before school opens in less than 2 weeks time.
Essentially, the restrictions in school from 8th March will bear a striking similarity to those in place during the Autumn Term - like before, pupils will be organised into 4 distinct class bubbles, staggered drop offs and collections will continue and there will be the usual control measures to mitigate the spread of Covid will continue. Full details to follow.
With the continued roll out of vaccines and declining cases of Covid-19, I am extremely optimistic for a very happy and healthy remainder of this academic year. Once again, the school will ask for your support in adhering to the forthcoming guidance so that we can continue to maintain a safe school environment.
I speak for all of the staff and governors when I say that I am relieved and very excited to be opening the doors to all of our pupils in just a few days time. I cannot wait to see and hear our school full of children again and I am sure that you and your children are equally happy about this next step.
