Dear Visitor

Mary Poppins

With temperatures increasing in the latter part of this week and limited avaibility at Wollaston School, Wednesday night's performance of Mary Poppins was very much a case of 'now or never'. It would have been a terrible shame if we had not been able to share Mary Poppins with you all but everyone turned up when it mattered - a hall full of families and a brilliant cast of pupils! Not only did the children perform so brilliantly in really challenging circumstances but they saved their very best performance for the evening. I hope you all enjoyed the performance and felt as proud of the children as we all did in school. Every single member of school staff has been involved in some way with preparing for this huge event and they were all present last night which is a wonderful reflection on the strength and togetherness of our team.

If you have any photos of the show that you are happy to share, please email them to

The performance was profesisonally recorded and will be made available for streaming free of charge so that you can relive Let's Go Fly A Kite to your heart's content. I will let you know when it's available to view.

Sports Day

Sports Day is planned to take place on Tuesday 14th July but we will obviosuly monitor the weather forecast as the very hot weather looks to be continuing well into next week.

If we are able to go ahead, the first race will begin at approximately 1.30pm. All are welcome. For those of you who have never been before, the format is simple. Parents on one side of the running track, staff and pupils on the other side. Races come thick and fast, one at a time, with lots of cheering from everyone! Children should wear, if possible, a plain t-shirt in the colour of their house (no logos/patterns). If your child is not sure of their house colour, please check with their teacher or the school office.

‍FOGS Summer Fayre & our Family Picnic

A reminder that FOGS Summer Fayre and our Family Picnic will take place on the last day of term which is Friday 17th JulyThe Family Picnic takes place on school site from 11.30am. Families should feel free to come onto the school grounds from this time to set up on the grass bank. The day is very informal and you can stay as long as you like!

Caterlink will not be providing hot meals on the last day of term but will instead provide a packed lunch to anyone who books for that day. A drink and some other goodies will be included and you can select either Main for a ham sandwich or Vegetarian for a cheese sandwich.

Bottle Tombola Mufti

Tomorrow is FOGS Bottle Tombola Mufti! Children should come to school in Mufti in return for a voluntary contribution of a bottle for the FOGS Bottle Tombola. Bottles can be dropped to the school office any time from tomorrow (10th July) to Wednesday 15th July. Many thanks for your support.

Cake Sale

One of our pupils, Heath, has organised a Cake Sale to raise money for a charity close to his family's heart. If you would like to support Heath, bring 50p or £1 for his cake sale after school tomorrow.
