Cadbury World

Willow Class enjoyed a fantastic day at Cadbury World on Wednesday. The visit linked to their Global Curriculum theme of Mexico. The day was about far more than eating chocolate (although that did come into it), with children learning so much about chocolate production and its importance in ancient civilisations. Some quotes from the children about the things they enjoyed the most include:

'being in the 4D experience was amazing...shooting the ingredients on the big screen...I got to taste loads of lovely chocolate...writing my name in chocolate...learning how to temper chocolate...the smell - as soon as I walked in it was incredble...the 4D movie was so realisitic...holding the cocoa bean and smelling it...learning more about the Mayans...sorting the ingredients...the history of chocolate in Ancient Mexico...the wobbly seats in the 4D adventure...'

Values Champions

The 7 recipients of this week's Values Champions postcards all consistently demonstrate beautiful behaviour in the hall at lunchtime. With some super, older role-models to learn from, the children below are always respectful and show fantastic manners. They are certainly not the only ones but they really stood out this week.

Breaksfast Club Survey

The school currently provides the option of an early morning drop-off at school from 8.30am each day at the cost of 50p a session. This is a very popular service and is run by school staff.

The school would like to gather information about the level of demand for a separate Breakfast Club that would be run by Premier Education from 8-8.45am each day. The cost of this session is likely to be around £5-6 per day and would run in addition to the existing early morning supervision.

You do not need to complete the survey:

  • If you use the early morning supervision from 8.30am and have no need for an earlier session
  • If you do not require early morning supervision

I have attached a link to a very short survey to help us assess the level of interest. The survey will be live until half term. So that we can gather the most accurate information, please be as realistic as possible about the frequency that you would use the provision through the school year.
