Parents' Evening

Parents' evening will take place this half-term for pupils on the following dates:

Monday 20th October (Year 1 to Year 6)

Wednesday 22nd October (Reception to Year 6)

Letters will be sent home with pupils over the next week or so. 

 

Flu Immunisations

Flu immunisations (nasal flu spray) for children from Reception to Year 6 (not Nursery) will take place in school on 8th October 2025. The consent window closes on Friday 3rd October at 8.30am so please provide consent before that time.

N‍ational Child Measurement Programme

If your child is in Reception or Year 6, please make yourselves aware of the following information about the National Child Measurement Programme.

Every year, throughout England, more than a million children in Reception and Year 6 have their height and weight measured at school as part of the National Child Measurement Programme. The school nurse team is due to visit school to carry out these checks on Wednesday 1st October.

If you are happy for your child to be measured, you do not need to do anything. If you do not want your child’s height and weight to be checked, please let the school nurse team know know by Tuesday 30th September using the email address

Atomic Science Club!

An exciting new after-school club begins after half-term for a 6-week block - Atomic Science!

Our ex-Year 6 pupils saw an Atomic Science workshop when they visited Northampton University in June for the STEAM 2025 event (Science, Technology, Engineeting, Arts and Maths). I am delighted that we are able to bring this club to Grendon for pupils from Year 1-6.

‍Eligibility Criteria For Free School Meals

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2

​All children in Reception, year 1 and year 2 are automatically entitled to free school meals under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme

These children may also be entitled to pupil premium which is additional school funding for disadvantaged children to improve the quality of their education - funding can be used for a range of purposes such as providing additional classroom support and help with paying for school trips and clubs.

Year 3 and above

The school will automatically receive pupil premium funding if your child is eligible for free school meals.

You can apply below for free school meals (£2.58 towards the cost of each meal) if your child is in Years 3 to 6 and you are in receipt of certain benefits and they attend a school in North Northamptonshire.
