Dear Visitor

Engagement Week

Our brilliant new Global Curriculum themes began last week!  Children returned to find stunning learning environments and took part in a range of exciting activities to get them hooked into their new projects. There has been a real buzz in school. Here are a few photos from our first week back.

‍Don't forget - World Book Day: Thursday 6th March

Children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character for a voluntary donation of £1 which will be put towards new books and equipment for our library. For those children who aren't keen on dressing up, they are allowed to come in mufti for a voluntary donation. We are delighted to welcome Roshni Patel, a local author, who will be visiting each class to share her new book 'Ear We Go!'

FOGS Book Cover Design competition entries should be returned to school by the end of tomorrow (Wednesday 5th March).

Zoolab!

Zoolab visited our pupils in Cedar and Pine Class and brought some creepy crawlies with them to teach the children about what they might find in Australia and the Amazon Rainforest. Pupils came face to face with a snake, millipede, cockroach, tarantula, stick insect and more...

Easter Service

Our whole school Easter Service will take place at St Mary's Church, Grendon on Thursday 27th March at 1.30pm in church. All welcome.

Junk Modelling Materials

Pine Class will soon be using old boxes, tubes and containers as part of a junk modelling project. If you have any clean junk materials, please send them into Pine Class by Thursday 6th March. Many thanks for your help.

Speeding

The safety of our children is our number one priority. A resident shared a concern with school at the end of last week about cars speeding out of the village (on this occasion past Grendon Hall) after drop off and collection. Many of our pupils use Main Road to walk to and from school each day and this is a gentle plea to stick within the speed limit.
