  Hello Visitor,

Full Opening Of School: Important Information

The phased re-opening of school began on Monday 1st June and worked extremely smoothly, thanks to the combined efforts of the staff, governors, pupils and parents. Thank you all for the part you played in this.

The school is now moving very quickly towards full re-opening on Wednesday 2nd September. Staff have been extremely busy over the summer break and are all very excited about the new term and the prospect of welcoming back all of our pupils, including our new Early Years cohorts. As part of our preparations for the new academic year and in line with the most recent DfE guidance, the school produced a detailed risk assessment and a Parent Information booklet which was shared at the end of the academic year. The documents have been available to download and view from the school website since that time but, with a week to go before school opens its doors, I am again signposting you to the guidance so that you can make youself and your child aware of its contents.

The guidance for September has several important changes and is therefore relevant for all families, even those who returned to school last term. The guidance has important information on how children will be organised, the items that they are and are not allowed to take between school and home and the measures taken by the school to maximise safety - it is the responsibility of all parents to make themselves fully aware of the Parent Information document and stick to the guidance within it. You can download the document from the link below.

Many thanks for your attention to the above, your cooperation is very much appreciated. Of course, if changes to DfE guidance over the next few weeks and months mean that our risk assessment needs to be updated, we will communicate this to you at the earliest opportunity.

Extra-Curricular Provision

After-School Childcare

In line with the DfE's updated guidance on the full opening of schools, I would like to remind parents of the information shared before the summer break - Get Active will resume their after-school childcare when we all start back in September which I am sure will help many families.

You can register and book places here

All other enquires about Get Active should be made to Kev Fox (Area Coordinator) who can be contacted on  or 07870 215582

Early Morning Supervision

A further reminder that our popular early morning supervision will also resume in September, running from 8.30am each day at a cost of 50p per session. Supervising staff will keep a register of attendance and fees will be charged via ParentPay periodically to avoid the daily exchange of cash.

NB A trial period for Get Active's breakfast club provision - originally scheduled to take place during what was to become a period of school closure - will be delayed until further notice due to the limitations of physical space in school at that time of the day.

School Clubs

NMPAT music lessons will resume in school from September.

Sadly, the school will not have capacity to offer extra-curricular clubs during the Autumn Term due to tight restrictions around timetabling and the lack of physical space in school.
