  Hello Visitor,

Full Opening Of School: Important Information

The phased re-opening of school from Monday 1st June has worked extremely smoothly, thanks to the combined efforts of the staff, pupils and parents. Thank you all for the part you have played in this.

Updated Parent Information

Numbers of children in school have steadily increased to the point where each of our groups are either full or virtually full to capacity. Overall, children and parents have been incredibly helpful and have consistently followed the guidance in the Parent Information booklet which is ultimately designed to keep us all safe.

As part of our preparations for September and in line with the most recent DfE guidance, I am today issuing an updated Parent Information document which I would urge you all to make yourselves aware of over the summer holiday and to also spend time talking about the relevant parts with your child. From September, the school will open fully and so, with more than double the number of children in school, it is more important than ever that parents and children observe the guidance, particularly at the very busy time at the start and end of the school day.

There are several important changes to the guidance, including how children will be organised  and the items that they are and are not allowed to take between school and home - it is your responsibility to make yourselves fully aware of the Parent Information document and stick to the guidance within it. You can download the document from the link below.

Many thanks for your attention to the above. The school is very excited at the prospect of opening fully in September and your cooperation is very much appreciated. Of course, if DfE guidance changes over the next few weeks, we will communicate this to you at the earliest opportunity.

Extra-Curricular Provision

I am delighted to say that, in addition to offering summer holiday childcare, Get Active will also be resuming their after-school childcare from the start of next academic year. To register with Get Active and book your child's sessions over the summer and beyond, follow the link here (even those who have used the provision previously will be asked to re-register). Kev has asked me to point out that any money already committed by parents for this academic year can be carried over to the summer holiday provision or the after-school clubs next academic year.

Summer Holiday Childcare

As a brief recap, the summer holiday sessions run for virtually all of the holidays. They are very reasonably priced (a full day session equates to just over £2 per hour) and I hope that this provision will alleviate childcare concerns whilst providing fun activities for children in a familiar setting with their friends. Sessions are available to book now.

Further information on the holiday provision can be found here

All other enquires about Get Active should be made to Kev Fox (Area Coordinator) who can be contacted on  or 07870 215582

After-School Childcare

In line with the DfE's updated guidance on the full opening of schools, I can confirm that Get Active will resume their after-school childcare when we all start back in September which I am sure will help many families. There are various options around the daily sessions and you may find it easier to book your preferred slots by following this link (once you've registered!).

Early Morning Supervision

Our ever popular early morning supervision will also resume in September, running from 8.30am each day at a cost of 50p per session.

NB Get Active's breakfast club provision - originally scheduled to take place during what was to become a period of school closure - will be delayed until further notice due to the limitations of physical space in school at that time of the day.

School Clubs

NMPAT music lessons will resume in school from September.

Sadly, the school will not have capacity to offer extra-curricular clubs during the Autumn Term due to tight restrictions around timetabling and the lack of physical space in school.
