|E-Newsletter Issue 96: Thursday 11th May 2017|
We are delighted to finally be able to reveal the location of our Year 2 residential. The Grendon Hall yurts are currently out of action and so instead we will be venturing to Macqueen House in Twywell for an overnight trip! The venue is a Guiding centre used regularly by groups of children and will make an ideal setting for lots of outdoor learning.
Meanwhile, Year 4 returned from their Grendon Hall full of excitement and stories of a fantastic residential. Here they are all ready for the Nightline activity. Aren't they lovely?
Year 6s head off to Perranporth in a few weeks and, as previously noted on the last newsletter, an information meeting for parents will take place on Thursday 18th May @3.45pm in Willow Class.
As you will have seen in the school's most recent email communication, Mrs Gookey will be on maternity leave for the majority of next academic year. I met with the school's Pay and Personnel Committee last night and today an advert was placed on the Teach Northamptonshire website with the intention of recruiting a class teacher for the start of next academic year. I will bring you further news as the recruitment process unfolds.
Any Lego to spare?
The school is creating a calming Nurture Space for small groups of pupils to access to support their wellbeing and learning. This space will be highly interactive and we will be extremely grateful if anybody out there is able to donate Lego to the school for use in the Nurture Space - it doesn't matter what type or how much....just Lego! Many thanks in advance.
This year's Sports' Afternoon will take on Friday 14th July from 1.30pm and will follow a similar structure to recent years with lots of competitive races down the track!
