We are looking forward to welcoming you to tomorrow's Open Afternoon. Children are very excited at the prospect of sharing the knowledge they have acquired during their current curriculum themes.
From 1.30pm, parents and friends are welcome to visit each of the four classrooms to see what the children have been up to since September. On this occasion, we will not be congregating in the hall first - please make your way straight to your child's classroom.
School will remain open until 3.30pm as normal. If parents choose to take their child before this time, please notify the child's class teacher.
School Values and Collective Worship
Rev Paula led whole School Collective Worship in church on Friday to celebrate January's School Value of FRIENDSHIP. Pine Class had been busy preparing work for the service, including a fantastic presentation, with photographs of the many examples of friendship seen each day in school. A fantastic way to end the week.
We are already into February and our new school value of TRUST. Our final two Values Champions for January are Heather and Abigail for displaying wonderful FRIENDSHIP towards other children in the school.
From time to time, school send out reminders about parking issues that are affecting the village at school drop off and collection. The recurring parking issues mainly concern blocked driveways, parking in the turning bay at the bottom of Parsons Close, parking at junctions and blocking Main Road (all indicated on the photo below with red dots).
Police advice to the school is to:
1. encourage people who had witnessed inconsiderate or illegal parking to report the incident to the Police on 101 (making note of the number plates of offending vehicles)
2. For school to send out periodical reminders to its parent body to encourage safe parking and indicate where the main trouble spots occur.
