Residential Trips for 2018
Letters have been sent home this week, detailing the important dates and payment schedule for our Year 6 residential trip to Perranporth and Year 4's trip to Grendon Hall.
You may have seen on the news how Storm Eleanor gave Perranporth Beach quite a battering, damaging the access footbridges and leaving huge sand 'cliffs'. I spoke to Phil, the Youth Hostel Manager, this week and apart from a external door getting blown off its hinges, the hostel was left intact and life in the town has already returned to normal - phew!
Closer to the time, short information meetings will be held in school to go through final arrangements for each trip, including kit lists, itinerary and timings.
Year 2 are also looking to hold an overnight residential trip - more details will follow on this.
Spring Term Parents' Evenings will take place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st February. Letters will be sent home shortly.
I hope that you managed to find some time over the Christmas break to talk to your child about their achievements over the Autumn Term. I was so pleased to read so many fantastic reports.
As an important working document, I would be very grateful if you could now return your child's Pupil Profile to school. Many thanks to those of you who have already done so.
On Wednesday 7th February, you are invited to school for our Open Afternoon, which marks the end of our current curriculum themes. School will be open to parents and relatives from 1.30pm - we hope to see you there.
World Book Day
March 1st 2018 marks World Book Day. Children will be invited to attend school dressed as their favourite book character. More details to follow - for now, just put the date in your diary!
